Anja Saleh is an artist and poet whose work explores memory and the culture and politics of memory in African and European contexts. She translates theoretical research verbally and visually, aiming to raise questions that lead the viewer to question collective memory patterns. Drawing on her own background, Saleh explores the traces and implications of a collective cultural memory that includes both remembering and forgetting. In 2021, her first book of poetry, Soon, the Future of Memory (Edition Assemblage), was published.
