Faravaz is an Iranian singer and songwriter based in Berlin. In Iran, women are forbidden to sing solo in front of an audience. She did it anyway, privately and illegally, until staying was no longer possible. She now writes in Farsi and English, combining Persian melodic tradition with indie pop, in songs about borders, papers, waiting, and where a person belongs when going back is not an option.

The single „Passport“ was released on World Refugee Day 2026; the EP „Saffron“ follows on 4 September 2026, ahead of the debut album Azadi („freedom“).
